SHAKE IT INTO THE FIRE

SHAKE IT INTO THE FIRE!
Act 28:1-6 And when they were escaped, then they knew that the island was called Melita. And the barbarous people showed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold. And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand. And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffered not to live. And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm. Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.
Though this message is short but the content is rich. You are selected, chosen and ordained to receive this message which says "SHAKE IT INTO THE FIRE!".
Apostle Paul was a Prisoner on transit, the storm tried to take his life on the troubled water but God got him to the land. May be you are right now on a troubled water, you are been pushed here and there by the storm. But the good news is that, The God who created you will get you out of the troubled sea to a dry land.
Though on the dry land the devil will still try to get you down but you have the authority to shake anything which troubles you into the fire. It could be true that some persons "The Barbarians" are watching and waiting to see your down fall. You have to keep them waiting because if they do not see your down fall they would come to congratulate you. Your persistence will bring respect to the Spirit in you. Your refusal to give up on your dream will force those against you to change their minds.
Shake it into the fire! This is no time to complain or to cry but this is the time to shake it into the fire. The Holy ghost fire which is keeping you warm can also consume what troubles you.
Shake! Shake! Shake every pain, every fear, every retrogression, every frustration, every failure, every barrenness, and all which stands against your destiny into the fire.

THE NATURE OF FAITH
The Nature of Faith
Faith is not just important, it’s essential. Because without it, you and I cannot please God.
The natural question is, “What is faith?”
In Hebrews 11:1, the writer gives us the technical definition of biblical faith,
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Faith deals with unseen reality. In fact, Weymouth’s translation says, “Faith is a conviction of the reality of things we do not see.”
You might think, “That’s a nice definition, but what does that really mean?” That is a good question. And it is answered by the examples given in Hebrews 11, which show different ways people expressed their faith in God, because there is not just one way to demonstrate faith in God:
Abel shows us that faith is giving our best to God. He deserves our first and our best.
Enoch shows us that faith is walking with God. It is living a life in constant connection with God, even when you can’t sense or feel Him.
Noah shows us that faith is making preparations as though Christ is coming back today, even when there is seemingly no evidence.
Abraham shows us that faith is obeying God, even though you may not know where He is leading you.
Sarah shows us that faith is receiving God’s promise, even when public opinion says, “No way!”
Moses shows us that faith is living life in light of eternity, and allowing that focus to affect all of life’s decisions.
Commit today to live this life of faith. If you do, you will truly please God!

GOD KNOWS

GOD KNOWS
Rev 2:9 I know your works, tribulation and poverty (but you are rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. Rev 2:10 Fear none of those things which you shall suffer behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that you may be tried; and you shall have tribulation ten days. You should remain faithful unto death, and I will give you a crown of life.
Rev 2:13 I know your works, and where you dwell, even where Satan's seat is: ...
God knows everything about you. He knows your name. He knows your going out and your coming in. He knows your strength. He knows your weakness. He knows your pains. He knows your struggles. He knows your enemies. He knows your history (your pasts). He knows your future. He knows your fears. He knows how to revive you. He knows how to restore you. He knows how to restore your glory. He knows how to re-design you to shine again. He knows how to heal you. He knows how to deliver you. He knows how to cleanse you. He knows how to pull you through all situations. He knows how to make you laugh. He knows how to get you into dancing. He knows your dream. And He knows your destiny.
The God who knows everything about you, He is The Creator, The Merciful God, The Provider, and The solution to all problems.
You might be in a situation of "Does He care?" Yes! God cares for you. Though there might be silence in the midst of high expectations but God is doing something. Something that is powerful enough to make us rejoice.
Dear beloved, I see you rejoicing in the midst of storms. I see you coming out of what you are going through. Heaven says "It is your turn to shine".
PRAYER:
Almighty God, I thank You for making Yourself known to me as the one who knows everything about me. Nothing can be hidden from You, I am naked before You. I surrender everything before You. Please, turn my situations around into Your praise and worship in Jesus' name. Amen.

ARE YOU CONNECTED?

ARE YOU CONNECTED TO HIM?
John 15: 7 "If you abide in me and my words abide in you then you will ask what you desire and it shall be done for you."
The worst thing any body could do to himself is to disconnect himself from JESUS CHRIST. The scripture above shows that JESUS CHRIST WANTS to take over your problems. He wants to operate through you. He is saying even right now to you "Let Me help you. Once you are connected to Me then you will see Me doing through you what you want to do."
The questions which we need to answer right now are "ARE YOU CONNECTED TO HIM?" Are situations pushing you away from Him? Are you not tired of doing things by yourself?
You know your story. You know what you have been through and you know exactly what you are going through right now. You cannot go through it alone. Please, let JESUS CHRIST carry you through. He is standing by to help you through it. Just surrender all to Him. Sign a new convenant with Him.
Remember, JESUS CHRIST is not a past tense and He is not in the past. He is alive. He is there with you and He is here with me. His words are alive. Talk to Him. He is waiting for you. No matter what you are going through you shall come out of it rejoicing.

WHAT WILL YOU SAY TO YOURSELF TODAY?

WHAT WILL YOU SAY TO YOURSELF TODAY?
Psalm 139:13-14 For You have possessed my reins, You covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise You for I am fearfully and wonderfully made, marvellous are Your works and this my soul knows right well.
King David did not make this statement during celebration but he made it in the midst of trials and tribulations. He was able to identify his purpose of existence. He was able to identify the marvelous plan of God. He knew that God was there with him. And he knew the secret of positive confession.
Dear beloved, you might be in the midst of storms right now. May be things are not working in your direction right now. May be you have started confessing defeat, failure, disappointment, sickness, retrogression, separation and death. Please, do not write yourself off. Do not give up on your dreams. Confess positive things to yourself. The fact that you are not there yet does not mean you won't be there. Speak the truth to your destiny, speak the truth to your dream, speak the truth to your life and to every step you shall take this week.
The truth about you is that you are not a product of what you are going through. The truth about you is that you shall surely win if you do not give up. And the truth is that you can if you continue to say to yourself "I can !" Delete fear and complain from your life.
What will you say to yourself in your wilderness? what are you saying to yourself in the midst of storms? "I am fearfully, wonderfully and marvelously made"?
You are the best and the most beautiful human being on earth. There are so many good things about you that you have not identified, call yourself beautifull names and the names will manifest. You are close to the actualization of your dream so do not give up. No matter where you are right now God still loves you. He doesn't foresake His own.

REVIVE YOUR HOPE PART 2

REVIVE YOUR HOPE: PART 2
Jeremiah 31:16 -17 Thus saith the LORD; Refrain your voice from weeping and your eyes from tears, for your work shall be rewarded, saith the LORD; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy. And there is hope in your future, saith the LORD
One does not hope for what he already has. We hope for what we are expecting. HOPE is not needed in the midst of celebration. HOPE is required when things are going rough, HOPE is required when delay is experienced in actualizing one's dream and HOPE IS REQUIRED when a prayer of request is made.
Every new month requires new HOPE. You have to put your pasts behind you. All the ugly things which you experienced in the month of July, they are gone with the month of July. This is the beginning of a new month and God is saying to you right where you are now "REFRAIN YOUR VOICE FROM WEEPING AND YOUR EYES FROM TEARS". Meaning, God is seeing you, He is watching you right now. He knows your pains, your weakness, your struggles and He sees your tears. And He cares for you. God did not speak concerning your pasts. Though He spoke concerning your present state and your work but He spoke to your future. He gives us HOPE for the future. No matter what we are going through we must wait to rejoice. We must endure to tell the story behind our glory. Behind every glory there is a story. Please, do enjoy this beautiful song "I have a Hope by Tommy Walker.

REVIVE YOUR HOPE

REVIVE YOUR HOPE : PART 1
Heb 10:22- 25 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for He is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Your hope is under threat right now. You are undecided on the next direction to follow. Is like everything you tried and laboured for are not working out. Though you tried to blame others for your predicament, even you have held yourself responsible for all which befell on you but there is no physical solution. And at a point you think God is not concern about you. You tried several times to hold on but there is always a push over from the opposition. You tried to call on Jesus Christ and you even questioned His authority and His promise. And you asked "Why is He silent about my case?"
Here is the voice of God saying "REVIVE YOUR HOPE, I am watching you to change your thinking, confess to yourself what you want."
Stir up others into love and into good works. Do not stay away from Church because of oppositions or because of somebody. Do not drop your hope because of trials and tribulations. Hold on to your dream and to your calling. Your miracle is near. You are not forgotten, God knows your name and He knows all your situations. What you are going through right now is to reveal your best.

WHO TOUCHED ME?

WHO TOUCHED ME?
Luke 8:43-48 And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, Came behind Him, and touched the border of His garment and immediately her issue of blood stanched. And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with Him said, Master, the multitude throng and press You and You say Who touched me? And Jesus said, Somebody has touched me, for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me. And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto Him before all the people for what cause she had touched Him, and how she was healed immediately. And He said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort your faith has made you whole, go in peace.
This is a familiar story of a woman who went through pains, rejection, weakness and depression. She spent everything she had, she was desperate to get her real self back. All doctors gave up on her. Her sickness during her time was like AIDS, no cure.
Though she was not recognized and appreciated by anyone but God recognized her by the purpose of which He created her.
Though loneliness, pains and shame were always there tormenting her but she refused to give up on her dream.
Though the long period of pains and deprivation was like a mighty road block before her but she keeps pushing until she pushed her way through.
When she was close to her miracle, the crowd became another obstacle for her but she keeps pushing. She was able to recognize the colour of Jesus Christ's garment and she focused on the garment. Despite the multitude touched Jesus Christ but there was a special touch which magnetized the anointing that healed the 12 years incurable disease.
Is your situation more severe than the one of this woman? No matter what you are going through just hold on and keep on pushing. Focus on the garment of the Master, push your way through to meet Him. If a woman who suffered blood issue for 12 years could pushed her way through then you can. It is not too late to be the person whom you are created to be. You just have to see your breakthrough manifesting. Give this new week a new name and it shall manifest the name.
PRAYER:
Almighty God, I know You are aware of everything about me. I know You created me for a purpose and I know You care for me. I receive a new strength to hold on and to push my way through. LORD Jesus Christ I am pushing my way to touch You. I refused to give up no matter what. I know my miracle is near and nothing can stop me. It is my turn to shine and I shine in Jesus' name. Amen.

And He said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort your faith has made you whole, go in peace.
This is a familiar story of a woman who went through pains, rejection, weakness and depression. She spent everything she had, she was desperate to get her real self back. All doctors gave up on her. Her sickness during her time was like AIDS, no cure.
Though she was not recognized and appreciated by anyone but God recognized her by the purpose of which He created her.
Though loneliness, pains and shame were always there tormenting her but she refused to give up on her dream.
Though the long period of pains and deprivation was like a mighty road block before her but she keeps pushing until she pushed her way through.
When she was close to her miracle, the crowd became another obstacle for her but she keeps pushing. She was able to recognize the colour of Jesus Christ's garment and she focused on the garment. Despite the multitude touched Jesus Christ but there was a special touch which magnetized the anointing that healed the 12 years incurable disease.
Is your situation more severe than the one of this woman? No matter what you are going through just hold on and keep on pushing. Focus on the garment of the Master, push your way through to meet Him. If a woman who suffered blood issue for 12 years could pushed her way through then you can. It is not too late to be the person whom you are created to be. You just have to see your breakthrough manifesting. Give this new week a new name and it shall manifest the name.
PRAYER:
Almighty God, I know You are aware of everything about me. I know You created me for a purpose and I know You care for me. I receive a new strength to hold on and to push my way through. LORD Jesus Christ I am pushing my way to touch You. I refused to give up no matter what. I know my miracle is near and nothing can stop me. It is my turn to shine and I shine in Jesus' name. Amen.

WHAT SHOULD I DO HERE?
Psalm 49:20 A Man who is in honour, yet he does not understand, is like the beasts that perish.
What should I do here? I have found myself in different situations where I searched for the answer to this very question "WHAT SHOULD I DO HERE?". Silence filled this room of confusion, this room of loneliness of which I was a tenant. I listened to hear a voice but there was none, not even a similar weeping voice like mine was heard. "Could it be I am alone in this ugly situation?"
Can I talk to you? May be you are going through a situation right now and it does it appear nice.
Is like the door is closing up on you.
Is like you always make wrong moves.
Is like you have no friend any more.
Is like you are doing a wrong job.
Is like you occupied a wrong position.
Is like you are studying a wrong course.
Is like you have chosen a wrong career.
Is like you are in a wrong relationship.
Is like you are in a wrong environment.
And is like everything which has your name on it is wrong! Wrong!! Wrong!!!.
The best answer to "WHAT SHOULD I DO HERE?" will come from God. You have to acknowledge His presence, that where you are right now your Creator is right there with you. Thank God for who you are and for all that you have. See your position as a promotion. See your situation as a blessing. Anywhere you are right now, you are there to manifest your blessings. You are in honour.
You can only see your position as a blessing when you throw away fear and worry. Throw away what you think people are saying about you. Satan will deceive you by saying "People are calling you names, people are laughing at you, people are saying this or that about you". Consider what God is saying about you. When God looks at you He sees His good and He called you "GOOD". Know that God's good will manifest your best, so you are the BEST. Almighty God, I call on You in this moment of troubles, when the entire world is living in fears, I am calling on You to thank You. I am thanking You for; my destiny, my health, my marriage, my family, my job, my career, my ministry, my joy, my peace, and for my breakthroughs. I worship You for Your presence around me, no matter what, I am not alone. I am blessed in Jesus' name. Amen

THE POWER OF AGREEMENT

THE POWER OF AGREEMENT
For two persons to achieve positive results there must be an agreement. For two persons to dwell together peacefully there must be an agreement. For two to walk together on the same path without crisis there must be an agreement. For progress to manifest there must be an agreement in what you imagine, think, say, do and work. Even on what you eat there should be agreement, if your body does not agree with what you eat then there shall be a problem.
You can agree with others and you can agree with yourself. You can disagree with others and you can disagree with yourself. Now let us see what the Holy scripture says about "The Power of Agreement"
1. Mat 18:19-20 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
2. Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
3. Gen 11:6-7 And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language and this they begin to do and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.
4.Act 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
AGREEMENT WITHIN SELF
There must be an agreement also within each person. For you to prosper in what you are doing there must be agreement between the members of your body. To achieve this your spirit must over power your flesh to drag it along, your flesh can only obey your spirit if your spirit is powerful enough to pull it along. And for your spirit to over power your flesh you must feed your spirit through fasting and fervent prayers. Anytime you are confused, there is disagreement in you. Anytime you are sick there is disagreement in you and anytime things are not working in the direction that you want then there is disagreement in you. Let us consider the following scriptures:
5. Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray, that you enter not into temptation, the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
6. Romans 7:15-25 For that which I do I allow not, for what I would, that do I not but what I hate, that do I. If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not but the evil which I would not, that I do. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
AGREEMENT WITH GOD
God wants you to agree with Him to move out of your pasts. He is not looking at your pasts but at your present. He wants you to move forward. Let go of your past, let go of the wrongs did to you. Let go of your pains, of your disappointments, let go of your fears and of worry. Come to your Creator and agree with Him. He is willing to give you a new name with a new look.
7. Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
PRAYER:
Almighty God, I stand this moment in agreement with Your Holy Spirit to move forward in my life. I let go of my pasts, therefore today I open a new chapter in my life, I denounce all negative names from my life. I destroy all negative records about me. I over power all negative feelings and fears. I resurrect above all principalities and powers of darkness. I am covered in the blood of Jesus Christ and I reign with Christ in all which I am destined to say, to do and to accomplish in life. In Jesus' mighty name I prayed. Amen.

THE TRUTH
John 8:32 And you shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free. 2Corinthians 13:8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.
The TRUTH about you is under attack right now. All that you are going through is because of the TRUTH. The TRUTH stands for your future but Satan is trying to use the FACT to replace the TRUTH. The FACT stands for our pasts and for our present.
The FACT says "Think of your past, your past is here!"
The TRUTH says "Put your past behind you and move on!"
The FACT says "Be worried and be afraid because your ugly past is about to repeat itself !"
The TRUTH says "Do not worry and do not fear because old things are passed away and all things about you have become new."
The FACT says "Right now you have no money on you!"
The TRUTH says "You are rich, no matter how long, nothing can stop your money from coming to you".
The FACT says "Right now you are jobless!"
The TRUTH says "The best job is coming to you"
The FACT says "Right now you are into debt!"
The TRUTH says "You are coming out of debt soon"
The FACT says "Be worried over the bills!"
The TRUTH says "You shall help others to pay their bills"

Almighty God, I surrender my heart, my mind and my soul to You through Jesus Christ. Please, help me to know the truth about myself and to hold on to the TRUTH. I know I am coming out of every ugly situation I am right now in Jesus'name. I reject every negative voice of self defeat and confusion from my life in Jesus' name. I enjoy the things which You my Creator has released to me in Jesus' name. WHY SHOULD HE LEAVE YOU?
WHY SHOULD HE LEAVE YOU?
John 8:29 And He that sent me is with me, the Father has not left me alone, for I do always those things that please Him.
Everyone is on earth for a purpose. We are here on a mission. We all arrived with messages to deliver and by identification we are messengers. Each and everyone has a deposit in him or her for someone else. God did not create us to just eat and wine but to deliver. He sent you and I here for a purpose which no opposition can defeat. Though we can be pushed here and there but we are still existing for a purpose. You are alive today for a purpose. Anywhere you are right now you are carrying something special for someone's joy, for someone's revival, for someone's healing, for someone's deliverance and for someone's restoration.
The devil cannot stop you but you are the only one who can stop yourself. Though the storm of life is pushing you right now but it cannot push you away from the presence of God who sent you. When you hold on to the God, the Father who sent you then He will hold on to you. And if God is holding on to you then no situation can move you from your joy.
Why should He leave you? God never forsakes His messenger. You just have to identify yourself with Him, call Him my Master then He will call you His Servant, call Him my Father then He will call you His Child, call Him my Savior and He will save you, call Him my Healer and He will heal you, call Him my provider and He will provide for you, call Him...
Rejoice for you are not alone. The Almighty Father is with you.
PRAYER:
Almighty God, I retrace my steps back to You. I cannot live without Your presence, therefore I surrender all to You in the name of Jesus Christ. Today this is the confidence I have that when I call on You, You always answer me. I feel Your presence around me. I am not alone! My Creator is with me! I hold on to My God and I hold on to my dream. I am what and whom God says I am. Thank You Jesus for burning away fear and worry from my life. I am blessed to bless others in Jesus' name. Amen.

EMPTY YOUR HANDS TO RECEIVE
Luke 10:39-42 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word. But Martha was distracted with so much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her therefore to help me. And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needful and Mary has chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
In several occasions we worried and troubled ourselves over things which are not important. We created distractions and pains to ourselves.
We hold on to too much responsibilities which are not meant for us. God will not give you responsibilities which are above your ability. Sometimes, you would love to help everyone but you cannot help everyone. Sometimes you feel the urge and the pain inside to provide for everyone but you cannot provide for everyone. And sometimes you really wished to be there for everyone but you are not God.
Many times we really tried to do everything right but we could not do everything right.
We get our hands occupied with too much to bear. And because our hands are occupied, we cannot receive from God. We must empty our hands to receive from God. Mary brought all her pains to the feet of the Master and surrendered all to Him. But her sister Martha was struggling to solve her own problems by herself. Mary was listening to the voice of the LORD but Martha was hearing many tormenting voices. Voices of self defeat, voices of failure, voices of disappointment, voices of depression, voices of fear and of her pasts.
What voice are you hearing right now? Is it the voice of sickness? Of no money? No job? No life partner? No child? No promotion? The voice of debt? Of failure? Of fear? Just take all to Jesus Christ, go for the good part which Mary went for which no one can take from you. God is not happy that we put our trust on medical doctors more than on Him. When sickness comes then run to Christ before you run to the hospital, build up your faith. If there is sickness then there is a miracle of healing. "By the stripes of JESUS CHRIST we are healed". OPERATION DISCOVER
Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto Me, and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.
We made many mistakes in our lives which are haunting us today because of lack of REVELATION KNOWLEDGE of GOD. Many people are dreaming others' dreams, they left their own dreams. Many people married wrong persons, many are into wrong career, many are imitating others and many embraced others' callings instead of theirs. Satan is diverting people from discovering what is theirs. If you cannot see it then you cannot possess it. There is a revelation problem attacking everyone. It prevents people from seeing their real picture. It gives you a fake picture of yourself, hatred, fear and limitation.
You have to discover your own dream, do not accept others' dreams as yours. Nobody can dream for you, you have a dream which you must discover. A man without a dream is like a piece of wood that can be cast anywhere. It is the desire of your Creator that you discover who you are and what you are, your purpose of existence and your direction. Galatians 1:12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
What we need right now is the Spirit of revelation of God because we are tired of our wrong decisions, wrong actions, wrong reactions and wrong thoughts.
Last Saturday we launched OPERATION DISCOVER. The following prayer points were handled and we would love to share them with those who are willing to discover.

BUT THE LORD STOOD WITH ME

BUT THE LORD STOOD WITH ME
2Timothy 4:16-17 At my first defense no man stood with me, but all men forsook me, I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge. Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
This message is coming to someone who is facing disappointment right now. It is for someone who is lonely right now. Someone you once trusted has left you at the very point where you needed him or her most. The very one whom you built your entire life around has left you. He walked out on you. He abandoned you to face the music of life alone. He pulled away from you when you needed a shoulder to rest your troubled head on. Right now you feel betrayed. You no longer feel love and you no longer trust because the ones you loved and trusted have caused incurable injuries to you. And your bleeding refused to stop because you refuse to recognize the presence of the Almighty God.
Though it appears that everyone left you but God is still standing with you. He wants to give His appearance to you but first you have to release your appearance to Him. He wants to give His voice to you so that when you speak to your oppositions they will flee. It is the voice of God in you that demons respect and obey. But you must give your voice to Him first and recognize the truth that God is standing with you.
Do not worry about your situation, God is standing with you. He cares for you. Your miracle is coming. Behind your miracle is the Almighty God. We are in the generation of restoration. Let us pray;
PRAYER:
Almighty God, I surrender all to You. I know You are standing with me in my trials, pains... And I will not let go my miracle because You are my God my creator the one who delivered me from loneliness, from depression, from...I thank You Lord for standing with me in Jesus' name. Amen.

THOUGH...
PSALM 71:14 But I will hope continually. And I will praise You yet more and more.
Though things are not going the way I expected them but I still hope on my God and I give Him His praise. Though at a point I almost let go but I held on hoping and praising the LORD the more. Though I know there are still more storms ahead of me but I will hope continually and I will praise my God through my Lord Jesus Christ yet more and more.
Dear beloved, the right action you can take in that situation you are right now is to hope for the better and to praise God no matter what. I know it is difficult to hope in a hopeless situation but the truth is that with God there is no hopeless situation. If God allows any situation to come your way then He wants you to be hopeful. Do not give up, I know it is not easy to praise God in the midst of the storms but the breakthrough action that you need to demonstrate in the midst of the storms is to render praises to God. When you praise God in the midst of your trials and tribulations then you will render the source of your pains powerless.
We know that as long as we are on earth here we shall face various storms but we have to send a strong message to them, "But I will hope continually and I will praise my God yet more and more". Is your dream under threat? Of course everyone's dream is under threat so send a strong message to those obstacles which are standing on your way "But I will hope continually on my God and I will praise Him yet more and more".
As God is preparing your miracle, He is also preparing you for your celebration. Therefore wait on Him, do not give up on your dream. If you do quit then you shall win. Remember you are blessed above every curse.
PRAYER:
Almighty God, You are my hope and my praise. I have no other God but You. And You who made me, created me to succeed in life. You created me to be at the head but not at the tail. You created me to rejoice but not to be sorrowful. In your presence there is the fullness of joy but not the fullness of sadness therefore I ask for Your presence to cover me and my entire family in Jesus' name. I see the best coming my way and I give You the praise for all my expectations, I praise You for my... (name all your heart desires) in Jesus' name. Amen.

WHO IS THIS STRANGER? [LOVE]
1John 3:14-15 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loves not his brother abides in death. Whosoever hates his brother is a murderer and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
1John 4:7-8 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God and every one that loves is born of God and knows God. He that loves not does not know God, for God is love.
John 15:12 This is my commandment, That you love one another, as I have loved you.
This message was a back up of the drama skit "LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOUR" Part 1 "Who Is This Stranger?" staged by our children's ministry. I thank God for these wonderful kids.
The greatest thing you can give is love, the most joyful thing to receive is love, the most painful and the most valuable thing to take from someone is love.
Absence of love ushers in hatred, violence, oppression, retaliation, robbery and killing. Right now our society is weeping because of rampant crimes, hatred, violence and abuse. So what should we do? How do we stop this violence and retaliation? Of course, we can only give out of what we have. If you do not have love there is no way you can give love. Today there is too much bitterness in the hearts of people because of what each one is going through. Situations are making us bitter against ourselves and against others. You can only make your neighbour happy when you are happy. Satan knows this, so he is pushing people against themselves. He is devaluing people and taking their rights from them. Your right is that you have authority over your situation. God wants you to know that He is with you in every situation. He is saying, "Though I might appear like a stranger to you because of what you are going through but I am still with you and I am your Maker. Walk out of your yesterday and recognize Me as your love today. I have not given you the spirit of fear but of love. Go on and spread this love, love everyone even those that caused you pains."
Beloved ones, it is not too late to change things. We can start right now by first changing our thinking. For anything to change in your life you must first change your thinking. Let us pray:

Almighty God, my Creator I approach Your throne of mercy this moment for Your mercy on me. I approach Your throne of newness for a change in my life. I am tired of bitterness. I am tired of hatred. I therefore vomit every bitterness, hatred and painful memories out of my entire body. I soak my soul, my heart and my spirit in the precious blood of Jesus Christ for purification. Now I step out of my bitter pasts and I reach out to others with love. And I bless lives in Jesus' name. Amen.

PLEASE, YOU HAVE TO...
Matthew 6:14-15 For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you forgive not others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Right now you are filled with bitterness of what that person did or said to you. And you have been carrying this load for hours, for days, for weeks, for months and even for years. Please, you have to let go of this burden.
Unforgiving spirit is a very destructive spirit. It leads one into:
Self destruction
Self tormenting
Self imprisonment
Sickness
Hatred
Abusing others
Destroying others
Destroying Nations
Unproductive
Retrogression
unstable relationship
And missing the kingdom of God.
Though it is difficult to forgive but we must, no matter the level of the offence if we want God to forgive us then we must forgive others. For you to forgive those who offended you, you must see them as victims of spiritual abuse. They were under the manipulations of the forces that are against your happiness. Forces that want to see you bitter to yourself and to others. Forces that want you depressed, they want you to retaliate, to quarrel, to be aggressive and to fight.
Please, you have to forgive for you to move forward. Some of your blessings are tied down because you refused to let go. Even the person who offended you has moved into his today but you are still in your yesterday. Every offence is a past but forgiveness is now. Relief yourself of that burden. Off-load your anger, your pains, your bitterness and every thought of disappointment, abandonment and abusiveness.
How long should you be in that self prison call "I will never forget what he or she did to me! And I will never forgive him or her"?
Dear beloved, you are more than that. You are more than the offence. You being alive today shows that you are more than what he or she put you through. The best way to excel in the midst of offence is to forgive. Let us pray.

Almighty God, I call on You today to forgive me all my sins as I forgive those who did sin against me. Today I sign a new covenant with You, I am a new creation therefore I let go off my past and I move on . I move on into my joyful pavilion. I throw away every bitterness and pains of the heart. I purify my soul in the precious blood of Jesus Christ. I am more than every limitations of anger. I move out of my yesterday and I forgive Mr./Mrs./Ms...of all that he/she did/said to me . Now I surrender all to you in Jesus' name. Amen.

WHY ARE YOU NOT CALLING?
WHY ARE YOU NOT CALLING?
Psalm 50:15 And call upon Me in the day of trouble, I will deliver you and you shall glorify Me.
Psalm 55:16-18 As for me, I will call upon God and the LORD shall save me. Evening and morning and at noon will I pray and cry aloud and He shall hear my voice. He has delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me. For there were many against me.
In all situations God wants you to call on Him. He is standing by to respond to your call. Whatsoever situation you might be right now, God wants you to know that He is bigger than all your problems. He is just waiting for you to invite Him in. He wants to get involve. He wants to take over you and your problems. Surrender all to Him and sit back to watch. He is always there on time. He won't allow you to be put to shame.
Call on your creator through our LORD Jesus Christ. He is your protector and your provider.
Present your case before your God, weep no more! Your Maker is with you, pray to Him anywhere you are. Lift up your voice to Him and pour out your heart before Him.
Before you run to a medical doctor, run to JESUS CHRIST.
Before you run to borrow money from the bank, from credit union or from individual, run to JESUS CHRIST.
Before you run to the court to sue, run to JESUS CHRIST.
Before you react to or retaliate that person, call on JESUS CHRIST.
Before you torment yourself for what that person said to you, call on JESUS CHRIST.
Before fear graduates into stress, stress into depression and depression into bipolar disorder, please, call on JESUS CHRIST.
Why are you not calling on Him? You cannot go through it alone.
Your wealth cannot solve it.
Your qualification cannot solve it.
Your beauty cannot solve it.
Your position cannot solve it.
Your earthly connection cannot solve it.
Your colour cannot solve it.
Your height cannot solve it .
And your strength cannot solve it.
But the God of miracles can do all things.

Almighty God, I call on You this moment of my need as You have instructed me to call on You in a time like this. I call on You through my LORD and Savior Jesus Christ to take over all my pains, frustrations, depressions,...(put all your situations here). I surrender all to You. Thank You for hearing me and for delivering me. Amen.

WHO IS A MOTHER?
WHO IS A MOTHER?
Yesterday was mothers' day. Various congratulatory messages were sent to mothers all over the world. Here in CHRIST LOVE FAMILY we joined in sending these congratulatory messages and we joined also in the celebration but in a peculiar way. The best message to send and the best way to celebrate this occasion is to define who a mother is.
Sister Cheriese who represented her mother, sister Janet Carter defined a mother as ESTHER taken from Esther 4:16-17
The woman who stands for her Nation
The woman who stands for her family
The woman who seeks the face of God for her people
The woman who will give herself into fasting and prayer for her people because she knows that the spiritual controls the physical.
And the woman who will take the risk for her people saying "If I perish I perish"
Sister Lindia Warner drew her definition of a mother from Acts 9: 36-39 with focus on DORCAS and she also used 1Corinthians 13:1-3 to support her definition of a mother. According to her, a mother is;
Not just a woman that gave birth to a child but a woman who has love for everyone.
She shares with those in need
A woman who does not discriminate
She works to put smiles on the faces of people
A woman who wants to be remembered for her work no matter what she has to go through.
A woman who affects the people around her positively.
And when she is gone, her works speak for her, everyone sees her good work and remembers her values.
The last Speaker sister Ivy Whiskey did not only summarize the messages of the first two speakers but also defined a mother as HANNAH from 1Samuel 1:11-20, 26-28 and 1Samuel 2:1-2, to her a mother is;
A woman who takes her problem to God.
A woman who vows to God on behalf of her children and fulfills her vow.
A woman who dedicates her children to God even before they are born.
She teaches her children the right way of life, how to love, to forgive, to tolerate others, to respect, to serve, to be patient, to be hard working and to fear God.
And a woman whose life is a good example to her children in conversations and in all manners of living.
I thank God for using these women to explain to us who a mother is. It is true that many parents have failed to inculcate into their children the moral principles and good values of life. Though the mothers are the ones standing today for their children but they need to do more. If you want your child to live a good life and a fulfilled life then you must take him or her to Christ Jesus. Mothers should follow the steps of the mother of James and John in Matthew 20: 20-21, she took her two sons to Jesus Christ and knelt down before Him asking Jesus Christ to allow her sons, one to sit on His right hand side and the other on His left hand side.
If mothers take their children to God then this violence, drugs addiction and hatred will reduced close to zero.
Yesterday was mothers' day. Various congratulatory messages were sent to mothers all over the world. Here in CHRIST LOVE FAMILY we joined in sending these congratulatory messages and we joined also in the celebration but in a peculiar way. The best message to send and the best way to celebrate this occasion is to define who a mother is.
Sister Cheriese who represented her mother, sister Janet Carter defined a mother as ESTHER taken from Esther 4:16-17
The woman who stands for her Nation
The woman who stands for her family
The woman who seeks the face of God for her people
The woman who will give herself into fasting and prayer for her people because she knows that the spiritual controls the physical.
And the woman who will take the risk for her people saying "If I perish I perish"
Sister Lindia Warner drew her definition of a mother from Acts 9: 36-39 with focus on DORCAS and she also used 1Corinthians 13:1-3 to support her definition of a mother. According to her, a mother is;
Not just a woman that gave birth to a child but a woman who has love for everyone.
She shares with those in need
A woman who does not discriminate
She works to put smiles on the faces of people
A woman who wants to be remembered for her work no matter what she has to go through.
A woman who affects the people around her positively.
And when she is gone, her works speak for her, everyone sees her good work and remembers her values.

I ALMOST LET GO

I ALMOST LET GO
1Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man, but God is faithful who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape that you may be able to bear it.
Jeremiah 20:9 Then I said "I will not make mention of His name, nor speak anymore in His name." But His word was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones.
This message is for those who believe that the word of God is true but time is running out. "When God? And why God? Why me? Why do I have to go through this? Haven't I suffered enough? Why can't I be like that person or like this person?"
Everyone here has a story behind his or her glory. It is true that you have been through so much in life. I have been there, there were times in my life that I was bitter with God. I asked so many forbidden questions. I almost let go. I thought I wouldn't make it.
Jeremiah was a man of God. God brought him out of his hiding and positioned him for a mission. But like Joseph who had a dream and was able to interpret his dream, he was not told of how long it will take him to get there and he was not told of what he would go through to get there. Like Jeremiah there are some of us right now going through situations and the devil is encouraging us to let go.
Though we have painful stories but we are still alive. We are alive today to testify. The reason why we have to experience pains is to have the experience to help others. God who allows any situation to come your way loves you. He knows what He is doing. He knows that you are coming out of it because He has given you the ability to over come. These three things go together, ABILITY, RESPONSIBILITY AND BENEFIT. God gives ability before He gives responsibility and your benefit is tied to your responsibility. God will not ask you to lift a load that He did not give you the ability to lift. So anything you are going through right now will soon be your story. God is giving you a story to tell others. You are going through a situation for others right now.
In the midst of my tears and confusion God called me "Son! You are going through it for many souls and you must go through it for them." Now I can stand and talk about suffering, I have graduated from many schools therefore it is my turn to testify.
God knows about your situation more than you. He is watching you right now. Are you about giving up? Do you want to let go? Please, hold on because you are almost there. SO I SPOKE TO HIM
PSALM 71:21 You shall increase my greatness and comfort me on every side.
The truth is that I went through many situations in my life that I thought I wouldn't make it but thank God I made it. There were moments in my life that I questioned my age, I questioned my gender, I questioned my qualification, I questioned my quantification, I questioned my character, I questioned my actions, I questioned my reactions, I questioned every move that I made, I questioned my dream, I questioned my destiny, I questioned anything that I could think of and I questioned God.
Though I have been through so much but I always know that someone is always watching me. Someone who knows everything about me. Someone who understands my pains, He knows my weakness and He knows my greatness.
At the very moment of counting my tears, I remembered Him and I spoke to Him, "Lord help me! You know all I have been through, please, increase my greatness and comfort me on every side". That was the moment I remembered my greatness. "So I am great?". So I did not only speak to God but I also spoke to my greatness. And God answered me. Now I say "I never would have made it".
Dear beloved, are you going through a situation that is similar to what I went through? Or greater than what I went through? Though everyone thinks his situation is greater than others' but we all go through things which we can over come. Do not give up, just surrender all to Jesus Christ. HAVE YOU HEARD?
ISAIAH 40:28-31 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak. And to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary. And the young men shall utterly fall. But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like the eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.
How joyful it is to know that our God is bigger than what we go through. It is even more exciting to know that our Creator neither faints nor is weary. The most interesting part of the scripture above is God wants us to live like Him if we wait on Him. Though we shall go through many situations but if we wait on the Lord we would not faint and not be weary. This gives us the confidence that we are not alone. God is going through it right now with you. The "run"and the "walk" in the scripture above are indications that we shall find ourselves in a tight corner, we shall go through rough roads but when we hold on to our God we shall rejoice at the end.
For you not to faint and not to wear out, you must hold on to God. Wait on Him, He will take you there. Please, do not consider the distance but consider your destination. Do not see the magnitude of the oppositions but see the size of the God who is standing with you right now. You have to appreciate the truth that the God who never faints and never gets weary is your God and He is going through it with you. This makes you a winner!
PRAYER:
Almighty God, I am holding on to You, You are my Creator, I have no other God and I am holding on to Your power for my miracles. Your word says that You give power to the weak and to those who have no might You increase their strength therefore I wait on You. I am holding on to You for my strength, for my joy, for my healing, for my revival, for my deliverance, for my restoration and for the fulfillment of my dream in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

THAT WAS ME BUT NOW THIS ME!

The reason why some Christians are experiencing the same old things that they suffered before is that they refused to let go old things. When you hold on to old offence then old pains will begin to find their ways back to you. You refused to forgive the person who offended you yet you are praying to God for a miracle. You refused to let go of negative confessions yet you are expecting new things. Satan knows how to get you back to your old self in order for the old pains to come back.
If one must move forward then it is time he looks back and say "That was me! But now this is me!" For the new things to happen in your life you must let go of the old things.
The bad names that I used to answer I answer no more!
The bad songs I used to sing I sing no more!
The bad dance I used to dance I dance no more!
The bad conversation I used to have I have no more!
The bad company I used to keep I keep no more!
The tears I used to shed I shed no more!
The fear I used to fear I fear no more!
The negative confessions I used to confess I confess no more!
When Satan comes saying "Be afraid" you have to say "That was me but now this is me! The word of my God says "Fear not for I am with you!". When the devil says "Look your old pains are coming back!"You say "No! That was me but now this is me! I am a new creation in Chrst Jesus, old things about me are all gone and behold everything about me have become new!"
For things to change in your life you must change your thinking and if you change your thinking then your confession will change also. Let us pray;
PRAYER:
Almighty God thank You for transforming me through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am now a new creation, all old things about me are gone and everything about me have become new. I am the Light of this world therefore I shine. I am the glory of God! I am the Apple of God's eye. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. I shall not die but live to declare the works of God. I am blessed above every curse. I take back all that the devil stole from me in Jesus' name. Amen.

The above scripture says "NOW..." it does not say "THEN..." The "NOW..."means God is not looking at your pasts but He is looking at you right now. He wants us to move on. He wants you to recognize your newness once you are in Christ Jesus. He wants us to let go of old things. Old things will give birth to old things while new things will give birth to new things. Old things will attract old things while new things will attract new things. If you need new things then you must do new things. BUT HELP CAME
John 5:5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty - eight years.
John 5:6 When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had been now a long time in that situation He said to him, do you want to be made well? John 5:7 The sick man answered Him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another stepped down before me. John 5:8 Jesus said to him, Rise, take up your bed, and walk. John 5:9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked...
It is true that everyone is expecting. We all want something, be you the president of the most powerful nation on earth you are still expecting. Whether you believe there is God or not, you are still expecting something from above. You are not fulfilled yet. There is a moment in everyone's life that he feels he has no man to help him. This is the lie of the devil. The devil will tell you that you have no one to help you. He will tell you that you are all alone. He will always remind you of how long you have being in that situation. 38 years that man was suffering, though he was expecting a miracle but the devil made him to believe that help will not come to him. The devil made him to believe that he has no man to stand for him. But Help came to him.
Beloved! What situation are you right now? How long have you being in that situation? Do you think you have no one to help you? Here is the good news, Jesus Christ knows how to locate you. He knows how long you have being there. At the very point you are now He is the help you need. I see help coming your way. No matter the situation of things, help will come. No matter how long you have being in that situation help will certainly come, just hold on. You have been through situations before, but help came. You had shed tears before but help came. You thought you were not going to make it but help came. Help is coming. Behind every glory there is a story. Soon all that you are going through shall become a story. Jesus said in John 14:16 that "I will pray to the Father to give you another Helper..." How wonderful it is to know that we are not alone! Glory be to God Almighty! Help is coming! I see you rejoicing!

PUSH BACK
Ecclesiastes 10:4 If the spirit of the ruler(forces of darkness) rises up against you do not leave place, for yielding pacifies great offences.
There are challenges here and there but if we do not give up then we shall win. Hold on to your dream, do not allow storms to pull away your hands. This is the time to push back. And as you push back you will move forward. The force that is against your joy has seen your miracle coming and it has intensified attacks. There is reinforcement against your joy but never worry because you must rejoice.
When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hang on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn...God will show up, that is the appointed time He has set as long as you have stayed in faith believing.
PRAYER:
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I refused to let go of my destiny. I hold on to my dream. I over come every opposition to my joy. I push back every contrary force to my joy. I resurrect with Jesus Christ and I reign with Him. Amen

DO NOT WORRY
Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Though it is human to get worried over sickness, failure, unemployment, debt, bills, death of loved one, separation, delay, lack, disappointment, etc. but worry does not change anything. Instead, it leads to depression where by causing more damage to your body and to your dream. If we must overcome and move on then we must take the above scripture seriously. Let us imbibe these words;
Almighty God, I thank You for accepting me and for taking worry and fear from me. I surrender my plans, my dream, my action, my reaction, my conversation, my thoughts, my feelings, my investments, my giving, my receiving, my savings, my sowing, my harvest, my relationship, my health, my job, my career, my family, my calling, ... to You in Jesus' name. Amen.

Waiting for Joy: How Depression Affects Married Life

The couple arrived at our cottage late, having flown in from Tennessee to participate in a Marriage Intensive. I arrived the next morning to begin our work. After greeting and breaking the ice with small conversation, we began our work. As we began to talk I quickly noticed how far apart they sat.
Kathy, a thirty-five year old woman, sat stiffly in a single chair, while Jess, her burly husband, hugged the edge of a large sofa. I wondered if it had simply been a long flight and perhaps they were tired. Or had their years of conflict taken such a huge toll on their intimacy?
Our work began much the same as most Intensives—we began to talk about the process leading to their seeking depth marriage counseling. But this Intensive was a bit different, and I couldn't put my finger on it right away. Kathy seemed pensive, reluctant to share. It took her several moments to answer questions. I attributed it to their emotional distance, and possibly the awkwardness she felt in sharing with someone she didn't know well.
Finally, in the middle of our third session, Jess blurted it out.
"Are you going to talk about your depression?" he asked angrily, looking over at Kathy. "Are you going to tell him how you close up for days and don't talk to me?"
Kathy seemed to slump further into her chair, her eyes turning away from us. My mind started racing. I had never asked about depression. I hadn't considered the possible additional issues, contributing to the relational ones we had been focusing on.
I watched Kathy, her eyes hollow, her cheeks sunken, tears welling up. While Jess seemed annoyed, Kathy wanted to retreat.
"Kathy, please don't retreat," Jess implored. "I can't talk to you if you clam up, and the doctor can't help us if you won't talk to him."
"Well," she began slowly. "I don't know what to say. I haven't been happy for years. I've lost fifteen pounds," she said, pulling at her pants to illustrate the weight she had lost. I can't talk to him, so I retreat. Our kids are nearly grown and I gave up my job ten years ago to be with our kids. I'm lost."
"And I can't reach her," Jess said, obviously irritated. "She withdraws from me, her friends at church, our kids. Everyone has noticed it."
"I feel ashamed of how I've let things get," she said softly. "He tells me to look on the many blessings we have—and we have a lot. Two wonderful kids, a nice home, enough money. What's the matter with me?"
"Do you think it's possible you might be depressed, Kathy?" I asked questions to determine if she was suffering from clinical depression—persistent sadness, anxiety, guilt, irritability, loss of energy, lessened interest in sex, difficulty concentrating, sleep and appetite disturbance. She had them all.
"Kathy," I said slowly, "and Jess, you've been battling more than each other. Clinicial depression is a whole-body experience, affecting every part of your life, including your marriage. More than 17 million people suffer from depression, with nearly two-thirds not getting help for it. It is a very treatable problem. Women are almost twice as likely as men to experience depression. Have you gotten help?"
Both shook their heads slowly. "I've been living with it alone," she said. "He thinks I should snap out of it, choosing to have a good mood. But, I can't. I feel like I'm so alone."
Kathy put her head in her hands, lowered her head and began to sob. Jess reached out and touched her hand.
"How long has this been going on?" I asked.
"Years," Jess said softly. "She won't get help. She went to the doctor once, and they just gave her some samples of an antidepressant but she never went back."
"I almost hate to ask this question folks, but I'm going to. ‘What effect do you think this has had on your marriage?'"
"She's not here," Jess said sympathetically. "When anything happens in the family, she retreats. We call it ‘clamming up.' She won't share her pain with me, so I've gotten busy with other things and other people."
"And there's been no joy in your marriage?" I asked.
"Are you kidding?" Jess asked. "I've been waiting for joy for years. I am an optimist who finds joy in lots of little things. But, I can't enjoy them with her. She's in her own world."
Kathy continued to cry while Jess continued to stroke her hands. She received his touch and seemed to welcome the contact. We began to talk about her depression, the anger she suppressed about an affair he had earlier in their marriage, the disappointment she had over giving up her career to raise their children, the frustration she had about his work hours. She felt Jess didn't have time, or real interest in hearing her pain, and so she stuffed it, creating an even larger chasm between them.
"You folks have not only been battling each other, but an unseen enemy—depression," I said. Both looked surprised.
"Consider the distance you have both felt from each other," I said. "Jess, you've undoubtedly taken her distance personally." He nodded his head. "And Kathy, you've been feeling guilty and inadequate for your depression. You've pushed away from others as a way to cope." She nodded her head. "There is effective treatment for this, and I suspect it is going to make a radical difference in your marriage."
We continued to talk about finding a doctor who understood depression, the likelihood of getting on the right medication, and finding ways to infuse their marriage with joy.
Kathy looked over at Jess, who now looked attentively at his wife, tears filling his eyes. He held his arms open as she moved over to sit next to him on the couch.
"I'll help you with this, babe," he said. "I'll help you find a good doctor. I'll support you going to counseling. I'll look at my part in this mess."
"So, folks. Let me give you clear, direct counsel."
First, depression is a whole-body problem. It affects our thoughts, actions, feelings, relationships and even our faith-walk. It can literally take over and distort every aspect of our life.
Second, people don't ask to get this problem and they can't simply will it away. While treatment of depression is very effective, it often requires individual counseling, couples counseling as well as medications. Most people experience relief when they are willing to aggressively tackle the problem.
Third, depression impacts marriages. It steals joy and life. It robs not only the person suffering from it, but their mate, their children, their friends and family. This compounds the problem, creating even more distance, and more abandonment and isolation.
Fourth, depression is treatable. If you are willing to seek treatment through individual, couples and medication intervention, most recover. Communication in marriage improves, helping the individual rise out of their depression.
Finally, seeking God's help is critical. He is the ultimate source of our joy and promises to give to us life in abundance. Faith in God often leads to seeking wise counsel in these other areas of our lives. Developing a comprehensive treatment plan includes looking at the way we think, dealing effectively with the concrete problems in our lives, obtaining the support of our family as well as enriching our faith-life.
Finding joy is possible, though this may have been missing in your life for some time. Consider whether or not depression has been a secret part of your relationship struggles and if so, seek professional help.

I BELIEVE
I BELIEVE
Romans 10:11 For the scripture says, Whoever believes on JESUS CHRIST will not be put to shame. There is a pay cheque coming your way this day from the company "WHOEVER BELIEVES ON JESUS CHRIST. The amount you are to be paid is "YOU WILL NOT BE PUT TO SHAME" But you must claim it with your "I BELIEVE" identification card.
Dear beloved, no matter what you are going through right now if you believe on Jesus Christ, you will not be put to shame. New doors are about to be open in your life. Just keep on holding on to Him. He is right there with you. The question is not how long it will take for you to receive? But how long can you hold on? At that crucial point where the devil really wants you to let go off Jesus Christ is the very point of your receiving. Once the devil sees that you are about to receive, he will increase attack, depression will increase, frustration will increase, pains will increase, and fear will increase.
Thank God! Your pay is ready! Just believe and claim it. I see you coming out rejoicing.
PRAYER:
I believe on JESUS CHRIST. He is my LORD and my personal SAVIOR. He is alive in me therefore I will not be put to shame. His blood flows through me. By His stripes I am healed. He has given me His strength therefore I can do all things. I am not afraid because greater is He that is in me than the devil in the world. I believe I am blessed above every curse and I am delivered from every power of darkness in jesus' name. I believe on You Jesus Christ that You are with me in my going out and in my coming in. I reject fear from my life, I am what the word of God says I am in Jesus' name. Amen

ANSWER YOUR NAME

Ruth 1:20 And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me.
Naomi's story is pathetic. It was a painful experience for a woman who left with her husband and with her two sons then returning without them. She witnessed her dear husband's death and she saw the burial of her two sons.
And for entire city to come out to witness the return of Naomi shows that this woman was a great person. She was good, loving, caring, motivating and she had large followers. But who they saw did not represent the Naomi they knew. They wanted Naomi to identify herself but she rejected her name. She rejected her sweet name and she accepted Mara (Bitter). The devil used four things to convince Naomi not to answer her precious name;
1.THE MEMORY OF HER PAST: At anytime Naomi wants to smile or laugh the devil will say "think of your past, think of how your husband died, think of how your only two children died and think of all that you have been through in life". And immediately Mara (bitter) will take over her. Tears of pain and bitterness were running down her eyes. She thought God has abandoned her or He is sleeping or He has gone on retirement. These are the lies the devil tells people that are passing through situations. The truth is that God is doing something about you right now. You have to speak to your past and put it behind you. You have to say "I move forward in Jesus Christ's name. Amen"
2. "IS THIS NAOMI?" : The devil used her present state to confront her, telling her " Are you still sweet (Naomi)? There is nothing right now left in you! You are not up to your mates! people are laughing at you! You have nothing! Hate yourself! When you look at yourself what do you see? Where are your values? Your qualities are gone!" These are the lies of the devil. The truth is that God is still with you. You are not alone. He is going through it with you. Say to the devil "I will get back again in Jesus' name. Amen".
3. FEAR: She was afraid of her future. Because of long period of intimidation she could not see anything good about her future. The devil used her age to confront her, telling her "There is nothing in the future for you. Age is not on your side to achieve anything. How can you do it? Your tomorrow is bad! Your tomorrow is going to end like your yesterday just as your today is ending like your yesterday. Your sweetness is gone! Your joy is gone! Accept defeat and accept Mara" But the devil is a liar. The truth about your future is that greater and better doors are about to be opened. Double restoration is coming your way soon. Just be patient and be obedient to God. Speak to your future to give birth to what you want.
4. SHE FORGOT HER DREAM: One of the most dangerous things in one's life is to forget his dream. Once you forget your dream then so many dreams will present themselves to you. They will get you confused so that you could not interpret any of them. The confusion is to push you away from God. You need to push back like Ruth. While Naomi was drifting away from God Ruth was holding on to Him. Ruth 4:14-15 And those that were laughing at Naomi came back because of Ruth to congratulate Naomi, saying "God has given you a person that is more than seven sons" As many that are laughing at you they will come soon to congratulate you. They will come to praise God with you if you hold on.
PRAYER:
I answer my name in the name of Jesus Christ. I am holding on to you my God, I refuse to let go off my dream. I am blessed and highly favored. I push my pasts behind and I move forward. There is hope in my future. It is not too late, I can make it. And I take back all that is mine in Jesus' name. Amen

GOD SAYS
GOD SAYS
Isaiah 55:12 For you shall go out with joy. And be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
Who can change what God says about you? Do not listen to the voices of defeat. But listen to the voice of your creator. This is the time we have to be on the positive side. God is a positivist and He created us in His image. He wants us to demonstrate His character. He wants us to believe His promise for us.
In a time like this when the evil one wants us to weep, we have to search out what God says about our laughter.
In a time like this when the devil wants us to be sad, we have to search out the truth about our joy.
In a time like this when our enemy wants us to be sick, we have to search out what the bible says about our healing.
In a time like this when the devourer wants us to lack financially and materially, we have to accept what God says about this.
The truth about you is what God says about you. Pick up your bible and search out what God says about your situation and use it to pray.
PRAYER:
Almighty God, I come to you this moment to surrender my character before You and I accept Your character. I accept Your Words concerning me. I am blessed above every curse. In the name of Jesus Christ I manifest my authority and I take back what is mine. Amen.

PRAYER POWER

Today's Truth
"Pray continually" (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
Friend To Friend
Over the past few years, my spiritual life has changed dramatically. I've witnessed the LORD move in amazing ways, and have felt His hand guide me like never before. What's the big secret? Why the big change? Simple: prayer. There is unexplainable power in prayer.
No, prayer isn't new to me. I've prayed ever since I was a child. But even though I love God, I often struggled to remain focused during my quiet time ... or to even carve out a daily quiet time, for that matter. My creative mind has a strong tendency to wander. So a few years back, I began keeping a prayer journal and my faith has really grown as a result.
My journal isn't fancy or expensive, just a notebook that can be picked up anywhere, but it has been a power tool for God's movement in and through my life. By keeping my heart focused in prayer, my journal has fanned the flame of my prayers, and has fueled the fire in my soul to connect with our active and living God who longs to be the center of our attention.
It's not rocket science and there aren't any special tricks. A prayer journal can be an effective tool for spiritual growth, but the power is in the praying. How do I put my power tool to work? I start off by writing the date. I then jot down who I want to pray for and what I want to pray about. I also love to write out Scripture passages that have spoken to my heart. Then I go to my Father- focused and fearless. God is the source of all power, and prayer is essential to experiencing His power in our lives.
Martin Luther said, "As it is the business of tailors to make clothes, and of cobblers to mend shoes, so it is the business of Christians to pray." Prayer moves the hand of God, yet, statistically; most Christians spend less than 5 minutes a day in prayer. That's just crazy! Why would we expect God to show His power in our lives if we don't give Him more time than we spend brushing our teeth each day?
Are you experiencing the power of God in your life? Would you like more strength, peace and direction in your days? God wants you to come to Him in prayer: when you are hurting, when you are angry, when you need direction, when you need answers, when you need hope, when you need healing. He wants you to come to Him for forgiveness, courage, strength, confidence, and perspective. Come with praise, adoration, humility, honor, and worship.
So - grab a journal and focus your heart and thoughts on God . The main thing is to get alone with God. He just wants you to come.
A GIG PLEDGE: Let's commit together to spend more time on our knees! Raise your right hand and say out loud: "Lord, it is my sincere intention to seek you more fervently from this moment on.." God assures us, that when we seek Him, we will find Him! As Girlfriends in God, we are growing rapidly in numbers. All around the globe, close to 200,000 women join together in devotion to seek God's face. As we grow in width, may we, as GiGs, also grow in depth. I pray that we will each seek Him and experience His powerful and presence daily.
Let's Pray
Holy Father, thank You for allowing me to come to You in prayer today. I humbly bow before Your throne of grace and ask that You would forgive me for all of the times I have failed to come. I need You more than I know. Please help me experience the fullness of Your life-changing presence in a fresh and powerful way.

Begin reading the Psalms during your quiet time. Journal what you learn and write down the verses that stir your heart. (There are 150 of them and if you meditate on one or two each day, you could be kept busy for a few months!)
